NEWS : Jose Mourinho reveals what Nemanja Matic's agent told him to spark Manchester United transfer from Chelsea

Jose Mourinho has revealed he was as surprised as anyone when the transfer of Nemanja Maticbecame a possibility.

The Serbian, who helped guide Chelsea to Premier League success last season, was sold by the Blues to rivals Manchester United for £40million in the summer.

Matic has made an incredible impact since joining, becoming a key member of the United team that currently sit second in the Premier League and top of their Champions League group.

Such is the form of the 29-year-old, Phil Neville recently declared that whoever sanctioned the sell of Matic from Chelsea should be sacked.
