Chelsea youngster tells club he wants to leave in January as his frustration over lack of opportunities grows

Charly Musonda has told Chelsea he wants to quit the club in January.
The 21-year-old has made just four appearances this season 

His decision will create a major issue for boss Antonio Conte , who insists he is desperately short of numbers in his first-team squad at Stamford Bridge

But attacking midfielder Musonda, 21, is frustrated by the lack of opportunities at Chelsea after just four appearances this season, including two in the League Cup.

Unless they recruit well, Chelsea may be reluctant to let Musonda leave, although he got himself into trouble last month with an Instagram post which revealed his annoyance at a lack of game time.

Arsenal are believed to have been sounded out about the Belgium Under-21 international but they believe they have got enough emerging quality and highly-rated Reiss Nelson, 17, coming through.
